This is old pictures taken back in May 2011 at a chinese grocery store. A series of floods hit Queensland earlier this year and the price of bananas skyrocket! ($9.99/kg is about $4.55/lb) And this price was considered very reasonable since other (non-asian) grocery store were selling bananas at $16/kg. I’m happy to announce that the price has now gone down to $3/kg.

PS. Just bought some bananas last week – was my first banana in 6 months.
